The Kirk Session is a Court of the Church of Scotland, which comprises of the Minister/Interim Moderator and Elders of an individual Parish or Congregation. The Elders are part of the whole congregation and should be careful to engage all members in an appropriate way. The Elders are responsible for a District and the Pastoral Care of the members of the congregation in that District.
The Congregational Board is the Financial Court of the Church. The members of the Board or Trustees consist of Elders and elected members of the congregation. The responsibility of the Board are the Finance and Property of the church. The members of the Board serve on these two committees as well as the Social Committee which consists of not only Board members but also a number of members of the congregation.
The convenor of each committee’s are as follows:
Finance Committee: The Treasurer.
Property/Fabric: An elected member of the Board.
Social: An elected member of the Board.
